Less Dangerous than Some Strains of Flu
Dr. John Ioannidis, who is the world's foremost epidemiologist has been releasing sound data on Covid-19 since the start. He recently released the most comprehensive study yet done on the virulence of Covid-19.
He has found that "the available evidence suggests average global IFR of ~0.15%". This is on par with the Infection Fatality Rate for H1N1 and lower than the IFR for H2N2 and H3N2, which are both 0.2%.
In this recent interview, Dr. Ioannidis refers to Covid as 'a common and mild infection'.
