Violations of Our Charter Rights: An interview with Lawyers4Truth

Dr. Pamela Popper is an internationally recognized expert on nutrition, medicine and health, holds a doctorate in Nutrition and Naturopathy and is a bestselling author. Reflecting on her extensive knowledge of nutrition, Dr. Popper discusses what makes any diet ‘healthy’. Watch this interview to discover what she knows about what the longest living people on earth eat.

On why Dr. Popper is back on Strong and Free Canada…

It’s easy to go off into the covid direction and ignore the real issue, which is health. We need to talk about this more; it’s not about health, but the conversation should be about health…this entire thing was started by fear and people were afraid of this virus. Especially people who had comorbidities because they were told you’re at higher risk. The reason why most of those people have those comorbidities is poor diet. If they only understood that they could change their diet and, in many cases, even reverse or erase those comorbidities. The second reason is that many people also don’t understand that diet isn’t just important for your physical, it also affects your mental and emotional state.

On what the ideal diet consists of…

Back when [I watched TV] there used to be an ad for laxatives about every 12 minutes. Tells you what’s going on in terms of the way people eat. Most people are eating a high fat, low fiber diet. You want to flip that high fiber, low fat. Because [fiber] is bulky and it fills up the stomach and it activates the stretch receptors…nutrient density of the food, because [vegetables are] not calorie dense enough…potatoes, beets and carrots and that sort of thing.

On what plagues the health industry…

We’re so focused on credentials and I used to think they were important, and I do think education is important, but … my degrees are in more of a natural health orientation and people think that’s better. Those professions have been just as corrupted. The day that the Bridgeport naturopathic medical school built that building in honor of … the blood-type diet guy I said, that’s it. I’m not going to call myself a natural company anymore.

On the world’s healthiest people…

Let’s go back to the Okinawans and some of the healthiest people in the world, they’re living on a very low protein diet. It could be under 10% and you would be just fine. Because of the research, you’re not starting from scratch everyday, like you are [with] glucose and carbohydrate, right? Just to illustrate the point, most people don’t know, human breasts which fuels the most rapid growth that humans experience in their entire time on the planet, 6% protein, go figure. We don’t need a whole lot of protein.
